FAQs
How do I make an appointment?
To make an appointment, please contact me at (631) 626-0185 or at [email protected]. If leaving or sending a message, please tell me your full name and phone number, a good time to get back to you and your insurance information. By speaking on the phone first, we can establish whether it is a good fit, it I can meet your needs, etc.
Is there a cancellation policy?
Therapy works best when sessions are attended regularly and consistently, so it is to your benefit to keep appointments as they are scheduled. If you need to cancel a session, please contact me as soon as possible, and I will make every effort to reschedule your appointment. If you are not able to provide 24 hours notice of cancellation, you will be billed for the session.
What can I expect from the first session?
The initial meeting is always about establishing a relationship, feeling comfortable and safe, collecting information, and deciding if you’d like to move forward. All treatment is completely confidential. We will discuss treatment options and goals. It is a shared journey and will be the foundation for working together.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an eligible in and out of network provider for most insurance companies. Every plan is different so you can check with your insurance provider or I am happy to assist with this.
How does it work? What do I have to do in sessions?
Because each person has different issues and goals for counseling, it will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs.
How long will it take?
Unfortunately, this is not possible to say in a general FAQs page. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place.
I want to get the most out of therapy. What can I do to help?
We are so glad you are dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions. Your active participation and dedication will be crucial to your success.
